Money transfers via «Western Union» system

Western Union is the largest money transfer system in the modern world, operating in the financial services market for over 150 years. Today, the company's services are provided through a network of more than 550,000 service points and in more than 200 countries and territories. The services of this system are available to more than 80 percent of the world's inhabitants.

 

In accordance with the Resolution of the Board of the NBU dated February 24, 2022 No. 18 «On the operation of the banking system during the introduction of martial law», it is prohibited to transfer funds abroad

To make the transfer you need:

 

  • visit «RwS bank» branch 
  • present a passport or a document replacing it
  • provide information about the recipient of the transfer
  • pay the amount of the transfer and the commission for the transfer to the cashier
  • get the control number of the transfer and inform the recipient of it

 

Limits for sending money transfers in foreign currency outside Ukraine

You can send amounts in the equivalent less than UAH 400,000 without providing supporting documents and without opening a current account.

Non-residents can make transfers solely on the basis of documents confirming the sources of origin of funds.

 

To make the transfer you need:

 

  • visit «RwS bank» branch 
  • present a passport or a document replacing it
  • provide the control number of the transfer
  • receive the funds transferred

 

Limit on receiving money transfers in foreign currency received from abroad - up to UAH 400,000 in one operating (working) day without opening a current account.

 

The commission for sending a money transfer is charged in national currency at the current NBU rate on the day of the transaction.

 

The commission is paid at the time of sending the money transfer.

 

The control number of the transfer — is a unique number, which is one of the mandatory information for receiving a transfer.

 

You can receive a transfer within a few minutes after sending it.
